Kelp... you may have missed the part where even if you forget to cancel your free trial, there is a cooling off period... specifically designed for TopStocks members who forget to cancel. This was part of the deal TopStocks negotiated with VectorVest for the trail.

Please do not accuse any of TopStocks major sponsors as running a scam. TopStocks takes great care in protecting our members from being scammed or taken advantage of from any advertisers.

VectorVest is a highly reputable company and they have good reason for asking for credit card details... even though the Trial is free. Infact, one of these reasons is even for TopStocks' members protection.

Please do not talk our sponsors down on the forums.. especially those that put $10k up as a prize with no guarantee of return.

I know what you mean, however, where can you get similar odds?

The risk/reward is definitely in favour of entering lol.

The chance of winning vs effort required to have a chance isnt worth it.

I'm a pick a good company and invest heavily into it kind of guy. I'm willing to sit patiently on a stock for 6 months if I'm confident like that.

I dont want to have to change my stock tipping style, just in case it influences my 'real' investments.

Making a bad decision on a real investment will cost me a lot more than 10k

May I ask what protection is granted for TopStocks members?

The VectorVest competition was run throughout Q3 2012, i.e. it finished about two months ago.

The regular monthly Tipping competition continues though with the opportunity to win $500 every month by coming first at the end of the month on the official Leaderboard.
